ETE Supports

The OXFORD UNIVERSITY EXPLORATION CLUB (OUEC) exists to help improve knowledge of our world through overseas exploration by members of Oxford University.

We are very honoured to be able to introduce an Education Through Expeditions grant, which will go to an Oxford University Expeditions Council approved expedition. This expedition must show the most dedication and most innovative approach to the ETE cause, both in the field and upon their return to Oxford.

“I am deeply honored and very proud to have been asked to become the Chancellor of “Children’s University” Plymouth. I know, from firsthand experience, how important it is for us all to take an active role in helping young people’s personal development, whether teacher, parent or member of the community. It is in our children that our future as a species lies and so it is all of our responsibility to make sure that our children grow up in an educational environment which is both inspiring and holds no boundaries. Children’s University’s ability to credit, develop and generate a curiosity for the world is essential in any young person’s personal development.”

“"It is our great pleasure to cooperate with other organisations determined to make a difference in the fields of education and inspiration. By working with the 'Natural History Network' it will see us take another step forward in our goal of promoting global citizenship. The collaboration between ETE and NHN is an example of an active global community striving to express the significance of the environment through individual and collective practice.”

“It is with great pride that I can say that I have recently been asked to become a governor of the Drake Foundation. In this time of economic time doom and gloom, charities like the Drakes Foundation are crucial in helping people get back on their feet. Together, working as a community we can make anything happen, we can all help make a difference in this world. Plymouth is my home city and I am proud to be able to help give something back to my community.”
